About Us

Dave is a life long gun enthusiast. With 40 plus years of hands on experience Dave loves the challenges that come with designing and manufacturing new products. In 1997 Dave started his CNC machine shop specializing in the Aerospace industry later adding medical, computer & transportation industries. Known for it’s attention to detail, high quality & tight tolerance work Dave’s shop developed a reputation as a go to place for difficult projects. In 2007 Dave took on the challenge of setting up manufacturing processes and building AK-47’s for a friends startup company within6 months they were producing 400 completed firearms a month. It was thru this endeavor that Dave developed his passion for the AK platform and was introduced to the likes of engineers, builders and importers of the AK-47 from across the world. Now having added the firearms industry to the growing list of customers to his business Dave started to look at the AK closer and seeing some things that might be improved. In 2014 Dave started redesigning the entire barrel assembly on the AK-47 to replace the barrel assemblies that were now being destroyed along with the receivers on AK kits. In 2016 Dave’s precision machined barrel assembly was ready to start the patent process and Dave applied for provisional patents on his designs. It took until 2021 for the patent process to finally grant him his full non provisional patents on his precision machined barrel assembly and the various parts that makeup the barrel assembly.

Patrick’s exposure to AK-47s ,beyond the battle field, began in 2010 when he and a few friends co-founded a small gun build operation out of their garage.  This inspired idea was  the humble beginning for a, simple and  functional,  business start up that proved to be a fun and fruitful endeavor.  As the business start up grew,  in 2013, Patrick was lead into a position with an AK manufacturer where he was hired as a line worker threading barrels, conducting head space cleaning and managing 922r Compliance. With the  growing demand and personal passion for these guns Patrick started creating 1-off custom AK builds and was recognized by the organization for his ingenuity and acumen with the  title of Line Supervisor.  A fervor for growth and desire to learn the artistry and industry  of gun manufacturing pushed Patrick ahead on his path as he became Head of Operations and Production.

During his employment  in the AK-47 manufacturing venue, business ventures lead Patrick across the world where he established relationships with top foreign AK-47 manufacturers in Romania. Opportunities and relationships from across  the world flourished and pushed open doors within the AK-47 platform; bringing with it a wealth of skill, education, knowledge and experience .

Patrick’s enthusiasm to apply his expertise in business and to the creation of AK-47s eventually lead him towards a partnership with Dave Martinedale (Master Machinist & Aerospace Technician) .
